Is this… another new Pink Lane Bakery?
Well… sort of.
Not quite a fifth shop, but it is our smallest one yet.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy building something a little different behind the scenes, and we’re so excited to finally share it with you. This summer, Pink Lane Bakery is joining NE1’s Tiny Toon, Newcastle’s miniature play village in Old Eldon Square!
Our tiny bakery has been lovingly recreated with all the details you’d expect, a miniature counter, shelves ready for pretend bakes, and just enough room for Newcastle’s smallest bakers to get to work.
From 20th July until 31st August, little ones can step behind the counter, play baker, serve up imaginary pastries and coffees, and let their imaginations run wild in a miniature version of Newcastle alongside lots of other iconic local businesses and landmarks. Best of all, it’s completely free to visit.
Seeing our bakery transformed into a child-sized version has been such a lovely project to be part of, and we can’t wait to see the next generation of bakers pulling on their imaginary aprons and taking over the bakery for the day.
If you’re heading into town over the summer holidays, make sure you pop into NE1’s Tiny Toon in Old Eldon Square… and don’t forget to tag us if you spot our little pink bakery in the wild. We have a feeling it’s going to be our cutest shop yet.
