ABOUT US
We’ve been baking for you in Newcastle since 2012. We set up our little shop on Pink Lane making some of the first sourdough in the city and a window full of cakes. We got known for our daily cinnamon buns, brownies, pizzas then started adding more and more – pancetta and rosemary sausage rolls! Salt beef pretzel sandwiches! Pies!
Once we’d run out of room to move in the city centre we found a big production space in Gosforth’s Old Fire Station in 2019. With room to stretch out where the fire engines used to park up, we got stuck into laminated pastries, loads more bread, a whole pastry section and a savouries kitchen.
We added a shop and café in Jesmond’s bustling Acorn Road in 2022 and supply restaurants, cafes and shops across town.
Pink Lane Principles
We’re really committed to sustainability, working hard to make our products and logistics tread lightly. We use an electric van and cargo bikes to move things around, and we’re careful that our packaging is as recyclable as possible.
Our skilled staff are so important to us and most of our products come from conversations and ideas swapped across the bench. We love training people to see them take their skills and confidence out into the hospitality world.
We’re happy being here, baking daily for you and being a strong part of Newcastle’s food community. See you soon for a pastry and a coffee!
